(House of Hope for Women and Children)

I. MISSION:

To service HIV+ women and their families with a history of homelessness, substance abuse, domestic violence, and mental illness. To protect and safeguard them while teaching them life’s coping mechanics with absolute love and respect. We will help women save their own lives everyday….

Casa Esperanza understands the needs of women, who have been neglected, abused or suffering from emotional distress due to a society that has determined that for the rest of their life they will have to pay for their mistakes. House of Hope is committed to providing a structural environment, with support services for its residents.

III. HISTORY OF CASA ESPERANZA

Origin:

Casa Esperanza grew out of a vision by Gina Cuneo-Ramos for the advancement of women and their children. Casa Esperanza began its road to development in September 2003, after a discussion between Ms. Ramos and Valerie Patterson. They’re two visionaries in the plight for women’s survival. Ms. Patterson, President & CEO of House of Little Angels (a daycare) realize that both visions were one, and life was breathed into Casa Esperanza para Mujeres y Ninos.
